Robert Evans
Bob is a Chartered Town Planner with 30 years' experience of planning and development consultancy in Scotland and is the Planning group lead partner at Ryden.
He was a founding partner of niche planning consultancy Muir Smith Evans and joined Ryden in December 2017 when the two firms merged. Prior to that he was a planning director for Turley, responsible for establishing the Edinburgh office and managing the Scottish business unit. He has also worked as planning consultant with BDP and Drivers Jonas.
Bob has extensive planning and property consultancy experience including management of large multi-disciplinary teams, tailored public consultation, large scale masterplans and delivering sensitive commercial development projects. He has keen judgement on identifying key issues early in the process.

Mixed Use, Residential & Hotels Strategic planning advice, applications and delivery of permissions for mixed use, residential and hotels, aparthotels/serviced apartments and student residences including McLaren Group Student Residences, Premier Inn Hotels, Travelodge, Holiday Inn, Moxy, Henley Homes, and coordination of masterplan proposals including EIA for redevelopment of former Bangour Village Hospital site for up to 1,000 new homes including conversions of Listed Buildings.
