A Chartered Surveyor with specialisms in retail & leisure agency and development, John has has advised clients around the UK on shopping centre, retail park, leisure, hotel and residential assets. He has represented landlords, developers and occupiers working through innovative solutions for transactions.

PROJECTS:

Osborne House, Edinburgh Marketing of a former office building for hotel use on behalf of Harrisons. Working with occupiers and funding partners to deliver another successful development in Edinburgh.

Ravenscraig Regeneration project on former steelworks. Mixed use development of retail, leisure and residential sites to attract occupiers and residents into a new settlement. This is a complex development project between public and private sectors with significant infrastructure works.

Custom House, Glasgow On behalf of Artisan RE, involved in the site acquisition, leasing and investment sale of this prestigious waterfront development to deliver a 300 bed Clayton Hotel by Dalata and 163 aparhotel for Adagio. The development is forward funded by Union.

Asset management initiatives Retained by Wm Morrison Supermarkets plc on a a variety of operational and non operational assets to provide leasing and disposal advice on surplus accommodation and dealing with occupiers seeking space within their investments. In addition, liaise with a variety of other professionals to provide solutions on planning, building consultancy, rent reviews, valuation and management.
