Ryden's Sponsored Solas Cycling Team Triumphs at Season Opener
28 May 2024
Solas, Scotland's first junior women's cycling race team, is already making waves in the cycling world. The team has started competing in top events across the UK and the riders' great performances are testament to their talent and hard work.
The season opener truly showcased Solas's capabilities. So far, riders from Solas have won two national titles: The Scottish Junior Time Trial Championship in Elgin and the Scottish Omnium Championships in Dundee.
Molly Evans managed to take home the Scottish Cycling Senior Omnium title, while Isla Easto faced the incredibly tough 110km, 1800m ascent parcours of the UCI Gravel World Series.
In Cumbria, Kayla Dinnin and Evie Field participated in Round 3 of the Proper Northern Road Race Series, with Kayla hanging tough to finish as the first junior.
It was also great to see Evie come back to form at Round 3 of the British Team Cup at Banbury after a period of illness, with a strong ride to the finish.
These incredible young athletes aren't just excelling on the track; they're also balancing their sports commitments with academic pursuits. Their preparation leading up to the season opener has been intense but they keep demonstrating how their dedication and hard work is paying off, both in their studies and in their cycling careers.
Ryden is incredibly proud to support the Solas cycling team alongside Ark Estates, Highland OS Group and Wilderness Scotland. This sponsorship aligns with Ryden's values of promoting equal opportunities and nurturing talent within the property industry and the wider community.
The team is getting ready for the rest of the season and we can't wait to be part of their journey. Best of luck to Daisy Taylor, Kayla Dinnin, Isla Easto, Molly Evans, Evie Field, Harriet Hendry, Isla McCutcheon and Millie Thomson!
